Trenton Swim Club - Trenton, MI
History
The Trenton Swim Club was established in 1967. The club is affiliated with USA swimming. Even though TSC is located in Trenton, it is not limited to Trenton residents only. TSC is tailored to make a swimmer a competitive swimmer.
Two Different Levels - Group I & Group II
Group I
Group I introduces swimmers to the competitive world of swimming. This group practices three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and focuses on development of all four strokes. The coaches' goal is to make sure the swimmers are having fun while learning to competitively swim.

Group II
Group II practices five days a week. This group swims competitive swimming work outs which range from two to three thousand yards a practice. The coaches work with these swimmers to develop all four strokes. The goal of the coaches is to help swimmers with stroke technique while encouraging them to have fun.

Work Out Structure
A typical work out throughout the week focuses on one particular stroke. During the practice the coaches evaluate each individual swimmers' strengths and weaknesses. The coaches are there to provide positive feedback to correct the stroke. During the work out there will be sets created to develop endurance and strength for all strokes. Also, the coaches will work with the swimmers on the little things that make them better swimmers (starts, turns, etc).
Meet Structure
USS meets are located in the Detroit Metro area and are primarily on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are an A, B, C swimmer classifications at USS meets with awards in each classification. The events are chosen by the swimmer and their family. Note that all technique rules are highly regulated at these meets.
There will also be dual meets scheduled during the week. They are more relaxed than the USS meets and are composed of two individual events and two relay events (contingent on enough swimmers being in the age-group to fill the relays.)
Check the calendar or meet schedule page for more details.
